A fight at a house party in Montana ended in the streets, as police say two brothers were killed and the alleged shooter has been arrested.
Around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 15, officers responded to calls of a reported shooting in Three Forks, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office stated.
At the scene, police said they found two men, later identified as brothers Brendan Estabrook, 32, and Chase Estabrook, 31, dead in the street.
Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer told KBZK, “This was not a random act of violence. These individuals had a prior altercation in the early morning hours.”
According to Springer, 24-year-old Zachary Eugene Norman and the two brothers met earlier in the night before heading to a house party, KBZK reported.
At the party, they had a verbal and physical fight inside a home before taking it out to the street where the shooting took happened, police said.
Officials said detectives recovered what they believe to be the weapon used in the shooting, as the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation.
Norman was arrested and charged with two counts of felony deliberate homicide. He was booked into the Gallatin County Detention Center, authorities said.
