Man Found Dead In His Bed With A Gunshot Wound, Friend And Business Associate Arrested For Murder, Cops Say
A man was found dead in his bed with a gunshot wound to the head, and now a woman faces charges in connection to his murder.
This week, police in Sidney, Montana, announced the arrest of Lyndsee Colette Brewer, 51, in connection to the homicide of Christopher Arthur Wetzstein.
On Jan. 28, officers responded to an apartment for a welfare check after Wetzstein failed to show up to work, according to Sidney police.
When they arrived, they found Wetzstein dead in his bed. The cause of death was a gunshot wound and the manner was described as homicide.
Brewer was identified as a person of interest. She was a long-time friend of the victim and business associate, police noted. She also matched the description of a person seen on surveillance video from Wetzstein’s apartment building.
During a search of Brewer’s home, police found a 9m handgun that fired the fatal shot, according to police.
Brewer is currently being held in jail and bail was set at $500,000.
