Minnesota Man Admits He Murdered 17-Month-Old Girl Found With Broken Bones, Burns, Brain Bleed And Lacerated Liver
A Minnesota man is scheduled to be sentenced after pleading guilty to killing the 17-month-old daughter of his girlfriend and recording some of his abuse.
Terrance Leslie, 26, was arrested for second-degree murder last October, after emergency workers were called to a child with "serious injuries” at a Maplewood home.
The workers found burns on three parts of the toddler's body, along with dark bruises on her back and abdomen.
Leslie may have poured boiling water on the girl, because authorities say his cellphone revealed a web search for degrees of burns from water.
But when he was arrested, Leslie reportedly blamed the toddler for falling in a hot bathtub.
Authorities say Leslie's cellphone also had videos of him hitting and slapping the girl, as well as yelling at her.

According to KSTP-TV, a medical examiner found injuries suggesting the girl was sexually assaulted, as well as broken ones, brain bleed and a lacerated liver. A doctor told authorities the toddler also had bruises indicating potential ongoing abuse.
Leslie reportedly was assigned to care for the toddler while his girlfriend was at work.
WCCO-TV reported Leslie's girlfriend also was arrested last fall, but authorities concluded she had nothing to do with the death. The girlfriend claimed at one point that Leslie assaulted her.
Leslie already has spent time in prison, after pleading guilty to firearms charges in an earlier Minneapolis murder case.
Leslie pleaded guilty to the most recent charges on March 28.
