Michigan Man Accused Of Murdering Woman Faces Up To Life In Prison If Convicted
A Michigan man was behind bars in connection with the slaying of a woman, authorities said.
Police in Manistee County arrested Jeffrey Howard Rogers in connection with the Nov. 18 murder of 67-year-old Cynthia Parrington, WPBN reported.
Rogers, 58, was arraigned on one count of homicide-open murder three days later and he was being held without bond.
He faces up to life in prison if convicted of the charge against him.
The investigation started on Nov. 19 at a home in Manistee, Michigan. Police did not say how the victim was killed or why they idenfieid Rogers as a suspect. They also didn't say if the suspect knew the victim.
Law enforcement officials declined to release further information about the case.
The investigation involved the Manistee city police and the Manistee County Sheriff's Office, the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Department of Public Safety and the Michigan State Police Crime Lab.
