An Oklahoma man is held on murder charges after another man died while they both reportedly used fentanyl.
Police say they found Christopher Drake, 47, in a parking lot northwest of downtown Oklahoma City the evening of April 22. He was not responsive and died later at a hospital.
Authorities arrested Joshua Askins, 42, who reportedly called 911 to report Drake's apparent overdose. Police told KOKH-TV that Askins admitted he bought the deadly drug.
Askins was held April 24 on a first-degree murder charge.
His arrest made at least three murder charges involving fentanyl in Oklahoma City in a four-day span.
KFOR-TV reported Wednesday that Kristopher Hauser was charged with murdering a woman with the drug in a home last October.
Then Justin Lastra was captured April 20 for what police described as a group fentanyl sale in April 2022. It ended with a woman dead.
