An 82-year-old man was arrested last week and accused of stabbing his wife to death, police said.
The suspect was charged in connection to the July murder as he was already in jail on battery charges.
On July 26, deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Florida responded to a mobile home park.
When deputies arrived, they saw Ronald Foreman hitting several people, according to the sheriff’s office. Foreman was then arrested in connection to the battery case.
Deputies were told his wife, Sandra Foreman, 75, was dead inside their home.
Ronald Foreman told police that his wife had been stabbed and murdered, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities went into the home and found the victim dead.
Last week, police charged Foreman with second-degree murder. He is being held in jail without bond.
