Maryland Man Said God Told Him to Kill His 86-Year-Old Great-Grandmother, 73-Year-Old Grandfather: Police
A suspect in Maryland was taken into custody following the deaths of his great-grandmother and grandfather, authorities said.
On June 4, police in Randallstown conducting a wellbeing check on the couple discovered the elderly couple dead outside their home, WMAR reported.
The 86-year-old woman and 73-year-old man’s great-grandson, 24-year-old Kennard Goins, was arrested and charged with the first-degree murders of Sarah Mills, 86, and 73-year-old Alex Hyman.
Charging documents obtained by WMAR show the victims' bodies were located under blankets and trash bags in the bed of a pickup truck.
Hyman's daughter told police Goins battled mental health issues, according to the documents.
Police claim the suspect admitted to the double homicide and said God told him commit the crime.
Goins was booked into the Baltimore County Detention Center, where he was being held without bond.
