Man Suspected Of Killing Minnesota Woman Taken Into Custody In North Dakota, Police Say
A man suspected of killing a Minnesota woman is behind bars after he was located in North Dakota, authorities said.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, police took James Kollie Jr. into custody and booked him into the Richland County jail in Wahpeton, North Dakota, KFGO reported.
Around 11 p.m. the previous evening, officers with the Moorhead Police Department in Minnesota responded to the victim’s residence after family found her body.
Investigators said the home didn’t appear to have been broken into, and they determined the woman suffered "traumatic injuries.”
Investigators later identified Kollie as a suspect in the homicide case but declined to release further details, including the victim’s name or cause of death.
Kollie was expected to be extradited from Richland County in North Dakota to the Clay County jail in Minnesota.
