A man is scheduled for arraignment in the death of a homeless man in a Las Vegas drainage tunnel.
Police arrested Jemiah Garner, 34, on April 20 on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon. They believe he shot Mark Grant, 29, before dawn on Feb. 20 in the tunnel where Grant lived.
"After being shot, the victim exited the canal and collapsed,” a police statement issued April 24 said. It's not clear what led to the shooting.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Garner already was in jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
Nevada state records reviewed by Front Page Detectives on April 25 show Garner also has spent time in prison for robbery.
