Man Who Police Say Killed Man In Front Of HIs Wife, Child Arrested

A man who police say fatally shot another man in front of his wife and child was arrested this week, according to a report.

WCIV reported that Richard Campodonico and his girlfriend, Megan Andrews, were arrested in connection to an incident that took place Sept. 6 in Cottageville, South Carolina.

U.S. Marshals tracked the duo down and arrested them in Rome, Georgia, according to WCIV. Campodonico is accused of shooting a man in front of his wife and child while demanding keys to the family's car.

After the shooting, Campodonico used the vehicle to flee the scene, according to police. Deputies and fire rescue personnel arrived quickly to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead, WCIV reported.

Police initially didn't have much evidence and asked the public for help gathering information. Officers received information that allowed them to find the stolen vehicle and obtain a warrant for Campodonico, according to WCIV.

Campodonico is charged with murder, first-degree burglary, kidnapping, armed robbery and a weapons violation. Andrews is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
