Murder Suspect Found Hiding Under Bed After Woman Searching For Cat Stumbles On Human Remains In Burnt-Out Shed
Police in Oklahoma said a man is under arrest for first-degree murder after a woman looking for her missing cat stumbled upon human remains on his property.
Officers in Tulsa were recently called to a home for a report of a body.
“A neighbor came to the residence looking for her cat, and the homeowner let her in the backyard,” police said.
While in the yard, police said the neighbor “found the remains in an area where a shed burned down in September of last year.”
An investigation identified Devin Scrivner as a suspect in the person’s death, and when officers went to arrest him on Feb. 13, police said they found him “hiding under a bed.”
“Scrivner confessed to taking part in the homicide last fall where the remains were found, and admitted to knowing the shed was set on fire to cover the crime,” police said about the case.
