Man beat his 66-year-old girlfriend to death, then ditched cleaning supplies and her mail in a dumpster: cops
A man beat his 66-year-old girlfriend to death after a fight, police said.
This month, Metro Nashville police announced the arrest of Jimmy Davidson Jr., 58, in connection to the homicide.
Investigators said a fight between Davidson and Elois McCormick, 66, ended in the woman’s death.
Davidson went to a hospital and told staff there that McCormick was inside an apartment and needed medical attention, according to police. Hospital staff then called police, who found McCormick lying by the front door.
She had bruising to her face, jaw and neck.
Investigators also found that Davidson made two trips to a dumpster before going to the hospital, police noted. At the dumpster, police found a mop, cleaning bleach and mail addressed to McCormick.
Davidson was charged with criminal homicide and is being held in jail without bond.
