A 20-Year-Old Arrived At The Hospital With A Gunshot To The Thigh. It Turned Out To Be Fatal.
A teenager has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old in Nashville, police said.
On April 6, Arondai Thompson arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper thigh, according to Metro Nashville police. The wound turned out to be fatal.
Police spoke to two witnesses who identified Jamandas Mayberry, 19, as the shooter.
The witnesses said they were in a vehicle with the suspect and victim passing around guns, according to Metro police. The witnesses left to play basketball and then heard a gunshot. They ran back to the vehicle and saw Mayberry shaking Thompsons.
Mayberry then fled the scene, police said. The witnesses drove Thompson to the hospital.
Mayberry was arrested a short time later at his home and charged with criminal homicide.
