Joran van Der Sloot Lawyer Says Natalee Holloway Suspect Seeks Divorce, Seduced by ‘Younger, Prettier’ Accused Drug Smuggler Girlfriend

The prime suspect in Natalee Holloway’s disappearance, Joran van der Sloot, is allegedly divorcing his wife and mother of his daughter for a “younger and prettier” girlfriend, a new report claims.
According to van der Sloot’s attorney Maximo Altez, his client is in the process of divorcing his wife and mother of his daughter since he has found a “prettier and younger” girlfriend, the Daily Mail reported.
In July 2014, van der Sloot married Leidy Figueroa, 33, at Piedras Gordas prison. She was pregnant with their child at the time.
In 2020, their relationship started to deteriorate when van der Sloot faced allegations of smuggling drugs into jail with his current girlfriend, Eva Pacohuanaco, according to Altez.
His attorney added that Joran “had a bunch of girlfriends” and “lots of girls used to visit him…but Leidy was the most loyal,” the Daily Mail reported. She continues to visit him at his current prison in Peru.
As Front Page Detectives reported, Joran is to be extradited to the United States, where he is accused of extortion and wire fraud for money he received from Natalee’s mother, Beth.

Altez told the Daily Mail that Joran wants to be extradited to the US to clear his name over these charges connected to Natalee’s unsolved murder case.
Joran remains in a Peruvian prison, serving a 28-year sentence for murdering 21-year-old Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel, Front Page Detectives previously reported.
While Joran is considered a prime suspect in Natalee Holloway’s disappearance, he has never been charged with her murder and her remains have never been found.
