A pastor in North Carolina has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife’s co-worker by trying to push his head into a deep fryer and punching him, according to authorities.
The wife of 57-year-old Dwayne Waden recently was working as a manager in training at a McDonald’s in High Point when her colleagues allegedly started “disrespecting her,” the High Point Police Department said.
She reportedly called her husband for help, and he confronted the victim after coming to the fast-food restaurant, officials said.
Police claimed Waden “walked around the counter and placed his hands around the neck of the victim, pushing his head toward the deep fryer.”
Officials said Waden also allegedly punched the victim “several times on the face" and other McDonald’s employees had to separate him from the victim.
Authorities said the victim sustained a “large contusion to the forehead and right eye,” as well as scratches.
The victim was transported to an area hospital via private car.
