A woman called 911 and was on the phone with dispatchers when she was shot to death. Now, police say they have arrested the person who killed her and another man at a North Carolina home.
This week, the Davie County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina announced the arrest of Anthony LaQuane Brooks, 31. He was taken into custody and is behind held in jail without bond for two counts of murder, authorities said.
Around 10:30 p.m. on June 26, deputies responded to a home in Mocksville, North Carolina, for an incident.
A woman called 911 and said someone was shooting at her, according to the sheriff’s office. Dispatchers heard a loud disturbance but then didn’t hear anyone on the line.
When police arrived, they found Justin Goodman, 29, dead outside the home and Savannah Anglin, 23, dead inside. There were also two children in the home, but they were unharmed.
Investigators have not released a motive or said if Brooks knew the victims.
