21-Year-Old Shot Dead In Corner Store Parking Lot, Suspect Now In Cuffs
A 21-year-old was found dead in the parking lot of a North Carolina corner shop, and now another man faces a murder charge.
Last week, the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina announced it arrested 23-year-old Timothy Baker in connection to the case.
Around 9:15 p.m. on May 25, deputies responded to a shooting at the Mozingo’s Corner Stop. When they arrived, deputies found 21-year-old Jaquan Davis in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds.
Davis was taken to the hospital, where he later died, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police identified Baker as a suspect and he was arrested a short time later. He was charged with murder and is being held in jail without bond.
A motive in the shooting has not been released.
