Altercation Leads To Deadly Stabbing, Suspect Accused Of Murder
A man is accused of stabbing a person to death and now faces a murder charge, authorities announced.
Last week, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing in Shannon, North Carolina.
When deputies arrived, they found Joshua Locklear, 37, with injuries from an assault, according to the sheriff’s office. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The next day, suspect Shortrell Brock, 23, surrendered to police.
Investigators say the attack happened during an altercation but did not say what led to the confrontation.
Brock was charged with second-degree murder. He is being held in a North Carolina jail without bond.
