N.C. Teacher Accused Of Sending Student Sexually Explicit Video, Photo: Report

A teacher at a North Carolina high school is accused of sending a nude image and an explicit video to a student, according to a report.

Last week, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina announced the arrest of April Dawn Viney.

Deputies started to investigate in late September after being tipped about the incident, according to WBTV.

Investigators found the victim and spoke to numerous witnesses, according to the report. She was accused of sending the image and a sexually-explicit video of herself to a student.

Police identified the suspect as Viney and she was arrested. She was charged with two counts of felony dissemination of obscenity.

Viney used to teach the student at West Iredell High School, and the student is currently enrolled in online classes, according to WBTV.

She has been suspended with pay.
