Woman Found Stabbed To Death At Nebraska Home, Teenage Murder Suspect Arrested At Scene

A teenager has been arrested in connection to the stabbing death of a woman in Nebraska, police said.
Around 3 p.m. on Aug. 25, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office in Nebraska responded to a home for a possible disturbance. A 911 caller said there was a small fire in the living room and a woman was lying on the floor.
When police arrived, the fire was out. But they found Mary D. Blackwell, 55, on the floor with blood around her, according to the sheriff’s office.

The victim died from a fatal stab wound to the chest and had other cuts.
Jabari Parson, 18, was found at the scene and arrested. Police did not release the relationship between the suspect and victim or a possible motive in the case.
Parson was charged with first- and second-degree murder.
