When two teens told an alleged sexual predator their ages he left — only to return with condoms
A 51-year-old man tried to entice teenagers to have sex with him at a Nevada skate park — and when they told him their ages, he came back with condoms, police said.
Two victims, aged 13 and 14 years old, reported to police that between Jan. 28 and Jan. 30, Michael Trovatore approached them in the North Valleys Regional Skate Park in the Reno, Nevada, area. He asked both to participate in sexual activities, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim told Trovatore their ages and he left the area, the sheriff’s office noted. He then returned to the area where the victims were with condoms.
The teens started to yell at him in order to draw attention, police said. They also took video and photos of the suspect to provide the information to the police.
Deputies found Trovatore this week and questioned him. He was arrested and charged with three counts of luring a child younger than 16 and three counts of unlawful conduct with a child young than 16.
The investigation continues and anyone with information on the case is asked to contact police at (775) 322-4900.
