A landlord is accused of killing a tenant and then dragging his body by vehicle to another location, police said.
On Sept. 6, the Nye County Sheriff’s Office in Nevada responded to a report of a dead body in the road. When police arrived, they found the victim and followed a blood and clothes trail to a home.
The victim was identified as Frank Brink, 66, according to the sheriff’s office.
The property owner at the end of the trail was identified as William Stanley, 70, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said Stanley was a landlord and Brink was his tenant. They got into an argument and Stanley ran over the Brink with a vehicle. He then tied the victim to his vehicle and dragged the body to where officers found Brink.
Body camera footage from an arrest showed police speaking to Stanley as he sat in a wheelchair.
Police charged Stanley with open murder and he was booked into jail.
