A 21-year-old New Jersey man is accused of using a blunt object to kill a stranger last summer and authorities say he has been indicted for murder.
Around 2:30 a.m. on June 28, 2020, police responded to a call and found Nohora C. Agudelo, 37, with severe head injuries in New Jersey.
Agudelo was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy was done, which revealed her manner of death to be homicide with blunt-force trauma as the cause, officials said. He was found dead in a road.
An investigation was completed and resulted in Oliver I. Tzarax-Lopez, 21, being identified as a suspect in this case. He was criminally charged on August 5, 2020, the Daily Voice reported.
Tzarax-Lopez remained at large for more than three weeks after the alleged murder, but he was arrested at a diner in New York City on Aug. 27, 2020, authorities said.
Recently, a Union County Grand Jury returned a three-count indictment on Tzarax-Lopez, officials said.
Tzarax-Lopez was officially charged with first-degree murder, as well as two related second-degree weapons offenses in connection to the death of Agudelo, police said.
