Victim dies after being literally stabbed in the back, suspect charged, New Mexico cops say
A victim was literally stabbed to death in the back and now a suspect faces a murder charge.
Around 11 p.m. on Feb. 26, police in Farmington, New Mexico, were called to a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man with a stab wound to his back, according to Farmington police. The name of the victim has not been released.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators identified Brandon Curley, 29, as the suspect in the case. He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Police have not said what led them to identify Curley as the suspect.
No motive has been released in the case and police have not said if the suspect knew the victim.
