New Orleans man arrested for murder after cop spots him on the street: report

A New Orleans man has been arrested for murder after a police officer spotted the suspect walking the street, authorities said.
The New Orleans Police Department arrested Desmond Douglas Jr., 33, in connection with a homicide that happened on Dec. 10 in the 7000 block of Bullard Avenue.
When first responders arrived, emergency medical technicians found a man unresponsive and suffering from apparent trauma to his face, according to New Orleans police.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Douglas was arrested on Dec. 11 for second-degree murder, according to New Orleans police.
A photo of Douglas was circulating internally throughout the police department. A Seventh District officer was on patrol and found Douglas after identifying him through the photo.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim’s name upon completion of the autopsy and notification of family members.
