New Orleans mother arrested for stabbing and killing infant son, police say

A woman in New Orleans has been arrested for the homicide of her infant son, who was stabbed to death, according to authorities.
Angelyc Seely, 35, was charged with second-degree murder.
Around 6:30 p.m. July 17, officers responded to a call of a disturbance in the 1400 block of North Broad Street, according to New Orleans police.
Officers found an infant boy with apparent stab wounds. The child was deceased at the scene, according to police.
Seely was transported from the scene for treatment of an apparent self-inflicted wound, cops say. Police determined Seely was the mother of the infant victim.
Upon release from medical care, Seely was placed under arrest and transferred to the Orleans Parish Justice Center. Her bond was set at $500,000.
