A 36-year-old New Orleans woman was reported missing by her ex-husband and now police say body parts have been found in a freezer at her current boyfriend’s home.
The boyfriend has been arrested in connection to her murder.
On Dec. 23, 36-year-old Julia Dardar was reported missing by her ex-husband, who said she had moved in with her boyfriend, 34-year-old Benjamin Beale, New Orleans police said.
According to authorities, Beale told them he had not seen Dardar since Dec. 16, and she was suicidal and moved out. But left all of her belongings and car behind.

On Jan. 11, the New Orleans Police Department said officers obtained a warrant to search the home of Beale. Around noon, they found what appeared to be human remains at his home.
Police said the remains were found inside a deep freezer on the home’s property. They also said a number of extension cords led from the back of the house to a padlocked Chevrolet bus located in the backyard.
Court records state the lid of the freezer was opened, which is when investigators found a headless torso and what looked like a woman, WWL-TV reported.
Police said they found an electric saw inside an ice chest that had bits of flesh and fluid on the blade surface. They also found a plastic face shield, goggles and garbage bags near the freezer.
Beale was already booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on a charge of obstruction of justice of a death investigation, but he was arrested again and charged with second-degree murder in connection to Dardar’s death.
