Woman uses broken bottle to stab a man. He died days later, now she faces a murder charge, cops say.

A New Orleans woman used a broken glass bottle to cut a man, but now that man died and the woman faces a murder charge, police said.
Around 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 3, police said 22-year-old Amber Gates was arguing with 50-year-old Luke Marengo on a street corner.
During the argument, officials said Gates used a broken bottle to cut Marengo.
Marengo was taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics, as Gates attempted to flee from the cops, according to authorities.
However, officers captured her at a nearby corner, police said. Gates was arrested and charged with aggravated second-degree battery, officials said.

On Sept. 7, Marengo was pronounced dead from his cutting wounds, The New Orleans Advocate reported.
Gates was then charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Marengo, police said.
If convicted of killing Marengo, Gates would receive mandatory life imprisonment, officials said.
