New York Man Charged With Driving Under Influence Of Drugs With Children In Vehicle

A New York man who was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs with his children in a vehicle was arrested last week.
According to Watervliet police, Michael Smith, 29, has been charged with three counts of three counts of DWI under Leandra's Law, child endangerment, and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
According to police, a little before 11:30 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle in the area of 25th Street and Second Avenue.

According to police, Smith was driving with three children who were under the age of 12 in the vehicle.
Smith was released on an appearance ticket, according to CBS 6 Albany.
