Alleged drug dealer arrested for role in victim’s overdose in New York, accused of manslaughter

An alleged drug has been arrested who police believe is gave narcotics that led to the overdose and death of the victim.
Michael J. Chapman, 31, was charged with second-degree manslaughter and criminal sale of a controlled substance, according to police in Auburn, New York.
On Jan. 18, officers from Auburn police and Auburn Fire Department were dispatched to a residence on Catlin Street for a report of an unconscious male.
When they arrived, first responders found the victim dead from an apparent drug overdose, according to police. The victim's name has not been released.
After several months of investigation, police arrested Chapman for his actions that contributed to the death of the victim.
Chapman was processed on these charges and then arraigned at Auburn City Court.
