A Brooklyn man was arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a woman inside her RV in North Carolina last month, officials said.
On Feb. 13, Oliver Arz, 47, allegedly shot 38-year-old Patricia Stanley inside the vehicle in Siler City, WRAL-TV reported.
According tothe Chatham County Sheriff's Office, Arz stayed at the crime scene and told investigators Stanley’s shooting death was accidental.
“Investigators soon determined that available evidence did not support the initial narrative of an ‘accidental shooting,’” the sheriff's office said, noting deputies believe the suspect and victim were acquaintances and the incident was “not random.”
Arz was arrested on March 11 and was being held at the Chatham County Detention Center without bond on a first-degree murder charge.
