New York nurse accused of killing man he allegedly injected with drugs: prosecutors
A New York nurse allegedly injected a man with a narcotic, causing him to fatally overdose, police said.
Kelly Goff, 38, faces charges of second-degree manslaughter, second-degree tampering with evidence, and two counts of criminal injection of a narcotic drug in connection to the Sept. 2 death of Tushar Ram.
According to the Monroe County District Attorney's Office, “Goff was responsible for the overdose death of Tushar Ram by injecting him with a narcotic drug” in Brighton.
Officials did not identify the drug the suspect allegedly injected, but prosecutors noted the Brighton Police Department worked with the Monroe County Heroin Task Force on the investigation.
Goff’s bail was set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond, and $40,000 partially secured bond, the district attorney said.
Motion arguments in the case are scheduled for Oct. 19.
