Man flees from officers investigating a fatal overdose and crashes into cop car: report
A man tried to flee from police investigating a fatal drug overdose and crashed into a cop car, according to investigators.
On Dec. 25, Nassau County police said detectives were investigating a fatal overdose in East Meadow, New York. Officers went to arrest Sean Crombie, 33, in connection to the case.
But as they tried to arrest him, he resisted and then fled in a vehicle, according to police. Crombie sped away and crashed into a police cruiser.
After the crash, detectives arrested Crombie.
Detectives searched Crombie and found 80 wax envelopes that contained a substance believed to be heroin, according to police.
Crombie was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and resisting arrest.
