A juvenile girl went to a corner store to shop, but when she went inside the clerks locked her in and raped her, police said.
Now, a duo faces charges in connection to the case.
On March 19, police in Rochester, New York, responded to a home for a report of a sexual assault. Investigators learned that a girl went to the corner store at Central Park to purchase items, according to Rochester police.
The victim said two store clerks locked her inside and raped her, according to police.
Officers went to the store and detained the two clerks. During a search, police found a gun that was reported stolen from Ohio, according to Rochester police. Authorities also found five pounds of marijuana in the store.
Investigators charged Shadad Alghaithy, 20 and James Hampton, 28, with a host of sexually based crimes in connection to the case. Police said Algaithy was a registered sex offender.
Police also say there may be more victims connected to the suspects or the store. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
