Man was high when he crashed his semi into a teen crossing the street at lunchtime: cops
A man is accused of driving a semi-truck while high and hitting and killing a teenager as she crossed the road in the middle of the day, police.
Randall J. Rolison, 58, was arrested in connection to the incident, according to police in Jamestown, New York. He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 in Jamestown, police said.
Alexis Catherine Hughan, 15, was struck and killed by the truck driven by Rolison. Police did not say how they identified or arrested the alleged inebriated driver.

Friends and family created a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral costs. It noted Hughan’s mother is a pillar of the community, and she is now experiencing the worst nightmare for may parents.
“No parent should ever have to do this... especially not without any help,” the page read.
