28-year-old New York woman found dead in motel, murder suspect arrested

A 28-year-old New York was found dead in a motel room and now police say they have arrested a homicide suspect in connection to the case.
But, police have released few details about how the woman was killed or a positive motive for the murder.
Around 1 p.m. June 13, the Floral Park Police Department discovered the body of Destinee Lavender, 28, at the Floral Park Motel, the Nassau County Police Department said.
An investigation was conducted by Nassau County Police Department and they announced on June 16 that a woman had been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the incident, according to authorities.
Officials identified the suspect, which is Ruth Toussaint, 34.
Police did not detail if there was a relationship between Toussaint and Lavender.
Her arraignment in the case was set for June 16 but was delayed until the following week, according to Newsday.
