Mississippi Man Accused Of Murdering 7-Week-Old Baby Boy Dead From Head, Body Trauma
A Mississippi man was arrested on a capital murder charge after a 7-week-old baby boy died from head and body trauma, authorities said.
Police in New Albany arrested 26-year-old Arthur Eurek after opening an investigation into the child’s death on April 23, WCBI reported.
Staff at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis contacted Child Protective Services about the case.
According to police, Eurek claimed the newborn, Ryker Burns, wasn’t acting right so he called his girlfriend, the child’s mother, at work. The mother than phone 911 and emergency responders rushed the child to an area hospital.
