New Jersey woman found dead on floor, son-in-law arrested for her murder, cops say

An 84-year-old New Jersey woman was found dead on the floor of her home, and now police say her son-in-law has been charged in connection to her murder.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 14, the Nutley police in New Jersey received a 911 call from a man stating he had killed his mother-in-law, 84-year-old Barbara Ann Bezzone, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office stated.
When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found the victim lying on the floor. She was unresponsive and suffering from severe injuries.
According to authorities, Bezzone was pronounced dead at the scene, but officials have not said how exactly she died.
Officials said 58-year-old James Pica was arrested and charged with Bezzone’s murder.
Prosecutors did not release a possible motive for the killing.
