A man is accused of killing his roommate and then leaving the decomposing remains in a home.
Last week, police in Albuquerque, New Mexico, arrested David Knotts in connection to a missing person case that started in June 2022.
Knotts is accused of shooting Alexander Renner, 37, during a fight on May 4, according to Albuquerque police. Knotts then left the victim’s remains in a home.
Authorities learned in September that Knotts was suspected of killing Renner. The two men were living together at the time of the killing, police said.
Detectives searched the home and found the decomposed body of Renner.
Knotts was charged with open murder and tampering with evidence.
