North Carolina father accused of murdering his 10-month-old baby

A North Carolina father has been charged with murder in connection to the death of his 10-month-old son, police said.
Trenton Terrell Powell, 23, faces charges of first-degree murder and felony child abuse inflicting serious physical injury, CBS 17 reported.
Powell is being held without bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center following his arrest on Feb. 7, according to CBS 17.
Last week, police responded to the 1800 block of Gola Drive in Fayetteville, North Carolina, after a baby was reported unresponsive, CBS 17 reported.
The boy died of his injuries after being taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, according to CBS 17. Police did not disclose the nature of the baby's injuries or how they happened.
An autopsy found the manner of death to be homicide, CBS 17 reported.
Once the manner of death was determined, Powell was arrested.
