A North Carolina teen has been charged in connection to the murder of a woman found dead in the woods.
Cumberland County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested 18-year-old Javeeno Jeno Antonio Resimo, of Hope Mills, North Carolina, and charged him with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder on Dec. 18
The day before, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office stated to investigate after a body was found in the woods of the Grays Creek Area. The body was found around 10 a.m. near a "heavily wooded and sparsely populated area in the southern end of the county," according to The Fayetteville Observer.
The preliminary investigation revealed it is the body of a woman, later identified as 38-year-old Jessi Marie Lindsley of Fayetteville, according to Cumberland County Sheriff Ennis Wright.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Resimo was ordered held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $1 million bond and is expected to appear in court on Dec. 20.
Police have not said if Resimo knew the victim.
