Woman Who Police Say Killed One, Injured Another At Restaurant Arrested: Report
A woman who fatally shot one person and injured another at a restaurant in North Carolina was arrested, according to WITN.
Officers arrested 25-year-old Nytica Battle in connection to a shooting incident in which Natasha Berry, 38, died after being shot at a Chili's restaurant and taken to the hospital. The other person injured, a 15-year-old employee of the restaurant, was treated released from the hospital, WITN reports.
The shooting took place around 7 p.m. Friday in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Battle left the scene in a car, but police quickly located her and took her into custody, according to KITN. She is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and going armed to the terror of the public.
Battle is being held at the Nash County Detention Facility.
Police determined that Battle and Berry knew each other and that the 15-year-old was accidentally struck in the shooting, KITN reports.
