North Carolina man allegedly shot and killed his brother, but motive is unknown

A man in Polk County, North Carolina, has been taken into custody after he allegedly shot and killed his brother.
Justus Ian Burnett, 30, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with his brother’s death. Though police have not said what led to the shooting between family members.
Around 4:30 p.m. on June 20, the Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence on a report of a possible shooting.
Deputies encountered Montgomery Graham Burnett, 24, who had been shot, according to the sheriff's office.
EMS and first responders attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Justus Burnett was arrested near the scene without incident and charged with murder.
