Boy, 14, allegedly guns down 3, kills 16-year-old boy at North Carolina apartment complex: Cops
A 14-year-old fatally gunned down a 16-year-old boy and seriously injured two others in a shooting in North Carolina, police said.
At around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6, the suspect allegedly shot the three victims at an apartment complex in Charlotte. The 16-year-old boy, Jaylen Xavier Foster, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other shooting victims, one hit in the leg and the other in the neck, were rushed to Atrium Health, officials said.
The alleged shooter faces charges of murder, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a minor, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
The suspect is being held at a juvenile detention facility. A police investigation is active and ongoing.
Police have not released the name of the shooter or what led to the homicide.
