Kentucky man accused of killing ‘physically incapacitated’ woman, dumping her nude body in backyard
A man in Kentucky is accused of discarding a woman’s naked body in a backyard after he unsuccessfully tried to have sex with her and then killed her, authorities said.
Around 1 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2021, Bridgette Brown, 41, was found behind a home in Louisville, and an autopsy showed she had been strangled to death.
Police took 37-year-old Kevin Wayne Roberts into custody on March 22 and booked him into the Louisville Metro Detention Center on charges of murder and sodomy with serious physical injury.
He was being held on $250,000 cash bond.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Louisville Courier Journal, police executing search warrants allegedly found video on Roberts’ phone of the victim in the front seat of his truck that was shot the day before her dumped body was discovered.
According to the affidavit, Brown told detectives the victim was “physically incapacitated” when he tried to have sex with her so he removed her from the truck and put her in the backyard where she was later found dead.
Law enforcement officials have not disclosed how they identified Roberts as a suspect in the case.
