Nursing Home Resident Allegedly Strangled Man To Death After Two Got Into Fight, Police Say
A Missouri man is accused of strangling to death a fellow nursing home resident following a dispute, authorities said.
Shedrick White, 57, allegedly killed 38-year-old Marvin Hale at the Senath South Health Care Center in Dunklin County after an argument broke out between the pair around 1:30 p.m. on July 5, police said in a probable cause statement, KAIT reported.
According to the document, a nurse who witnessed the fight separated the men, and put Hale into his own room away from White.
Around 3:30 that morning, the document states, a nurse discovered Hale on the floor with blood coming from his nose and a call cord hanging across his shoulders.
Hale was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Authorities said White admitted to getting into a fight with the victim, but he denied having anything to do with his death.
White was arrested and charged with murder on July 6, and he is being held without bond, according to KAIT.
