A Fed-Ex driver faces murder charges in connection to the death of an elderly woman who lived along his route, police said.
On May 13, New York State Police responded to a home in Ephratah, New York, after a fire. The homeowner, 74-year-old Sara Stinnett, was found dead in the home.
Police said they determined her death was suspicious but did not offer further details.
This week, police announced the arrest of Anthony Dotson, 24, in connection to her death. He was charged with second-degree murder.
Police did not say why they believed Dotson was responsible for the victim’s death.
But they noted at the time of the incident, he worked as a Fed-Ex driver and his route was in the area of Stinnett’s home.
Dotson is being held in a New York jail without bond.
