On June 19 just after 9 p.m., Darryl Cowan Jr. was at That 1 Place gentlemen’s club in Warren and gave the woman a counterfeit $50 and $100 bill, Youngstown’s WKBN-TV reported, citing a police report.

When she and a customer confronted the intoxicated Cowan, 39, about the fake money, which had Chinese writing on it, Cowan punched the customer, the report states.

In response, the dancer jumped on Cowan and sprayed his face with mace. He ran from the club with her car keys and into a nearby home, according to the report.

The homeowner was warned someone was in the house and a neighbor who checked the property discovered Cowan lying on a bed.

The report states Cowan told responding officers who discovered the dancer’s car key on him that he didn’t know who they belonged to or from where they had come. Officers also allegedly found a bag of marijuana in Cowan’s possession.

Cowan was booked into the Trumbull County Jail and charged with burglary, robbery and counterfeiting, online records show.
