Ohio man accused of shooting his mother's boyfriend being held on $1M bail

A Dayton, Ohio man was charged with fatally shooting his mother’s boyfriend in the head, according to prosecutors.
Dillon Wayne Engle, 26, was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felonious assault in the deadly shooting of 51-year-old Brian Jacobs, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
Police responded to a report from a woman who claimed that her grandson shot Jacobs in the 700 block of Gondert Avenue around 12:20 a.m. April 20. Officials said Jacobs had a gunshot wound to the head, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Engle’s mother reportedly told police that she witnessed him shoot Jacobs, according to Dayton Daily News.
Prosecutors have not said why Engle allegedly shot his mother's boyfriend.
Dayton police took Engle into custody at the scene. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and is being held on $1 million bail.
Engle is expected to be arraigned next week.
