A Cleveland hairdresser was found dead in his Ohio home lying in a pool of blood after being shot, stabbed, beaten and strangled to death, police said.
According to authorities, 57-year-old Chris Vo was found on Dec. 26, in his garage in Cleveland.
Police said they were notified when a neighbor saw blood coming through the bottom of the garage door.
In a filing with the Cleveland Municipal Court and in findings from the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office, Vo’s fatal wounds were described showing he was shot, stabbed, beaten and strangled to death, 19 News reported.
Vo’s former partner, Nick Malusky, talked with 19 News and said, “None of us had any idea what was happening; it was just a shocking, tragic thing that none of us were ready for.”
Authorities said Chad Webb and Daniel Mobley, both 27, were arrested and now facing murder charges.
Police did not confirm whether the two suspects knew the victim, but investigators believe robbery was the motive. They added Vo’s injuries were a result of him trying to fight back, according to the 19 News report.
On social media, it shows Webb and Mobley listed as “in a relationship” with each other, Cleveland 19 stated.
In a statement to 19 News, Malusky said, ”They were young men in the Cleveland gay community, and that’s just something you never hear of them turning around and killing someone like that.”
Webb and Mobley were booked into jail and being held on a $1 million bond, officials said. They are due in court on Jan. 6.
